Well ive been quiet for some time due to school and my inturnship (i believe this is the correct word but im not sure )
But i just read something that made me happy and figured i had to share it with the community.
I went on HaloWikia a few minutes ago and i was looking at there Halo Movie page, (which is quiet reliable btw) and i read this:

March 25, 2010 Bungie's Brian Jarrard reveals that interest in the film is high once more due to Halo Legends and the upcoming Halo: Reach game in an interview with Industry Gamers[35]:

"Are there more stories to be told in the Halo universe? Absolutely. Do I think Reach will be the biggest game ever and probably attract an even larger audience to the fan community?** Yes, I actually do. I would think that the marketplace for a movie would be more ripe post Reach than it even was after Halo 3, so I'm willing to bet that it's not a matter of if, just when," he said. "I'm just speculating here since it's Microsoft's decision, but looking at how Halo Legends went and the release of that animated feature, definitely there's demand for it, and I do applaud them for not rushing into it and waiting until they find the right people and the right creative ideas and the right time frame. I think all of us at Bungie would love to see the right movie still get made with the right people; we're just going to have to wait and see, just like all of our fans!"

Which means that things are going to look a lot better for the movie in a short while and i cant wait for more information!

Well Tedtron i'm sorry but i have to dissapoint you. This is currently the second (or third ) versie of this forum. And in the previous ones that where far more active people linked this video a whole lot thinking it was a trailer to the movie.

However that is not the case here. This video was created as a teaser trailer for Halo 3 and it was released the day before Halo 3 launched.
It shows how a bunch of marines get a lock on some sort of shuttle coming out of the air. This is the Master Chief entering the earth's atmosphere at the start of Halo 3.
So when you play Halo 3 you'll see him falling out of the sky but from another angle but its him alright.

I hear you, but while I'm willing to accept that it might not be new, I'm still pretty sure that it's a movie trailer. Anyway, show a little hope, man! The trailer looks ossim, and I for one wouldn't be at all disappointed if it foretold the quality of the movie to come. Also, think of the money that went into this clip and the related museum trailer: the warthog looks astounding, the spike rifle looks brilliant (ignore that blue light on the end), and the Brutes themselves look real enough to touch.
Would you really stake all that beauty on a claim that it was actually only a trailer for Halo 3, even though, when other such videos are compared, they are completely and utterly eclipsed?
I will hope.
By the way, do you believe these rumours that it's going to be animated? If it does come out and look like Toy Story, I actually will send letterbombs.

I think you kinda misunderstood me, i've got nothing but hope thats why i'm on this forum
But i cant help it that this really is only just a trailer. I dont know if your familiar with the Halo Wikia but its a great source for information.
And this is what the wikia says about the clip:

Halo: Landfall a group of short live action films created in collaboration with Bungie Studios, Neill Blomkamp, WETA Digital, and Origami Digital LLC. These films were the Halo franchise's first foray into live-action films, followed closely by the "Museum" series of films. These Halo shorts were intended as promotional material for the then-upcoming Halo 3 game, drawing interest to its release.

As you can see it says the same thing i said in my previous post but in some other words.
And it makes perfect sense if you ask me. They did the same thing for Halo: ODST and now for Halo: Reach.
Both those clips are shorter but still equally good if not better.

On another note i really have to agree with you that it looks really awesome Although some things could have been done different like the brute chieftains gravity hammer. It looks nice how he killed the marine and all, but some flashy pulse waves or whatever you see when you use it in Halo 3 would have been nice. But then again its just a trailer so they cant spend too much money on it. Thats probably why you cant get a good shot of the banshee's.

And about that animation rumor, i havent heard that one before. Perhaps it could be that those rumors are about Halo: Legends. There a bunch of Halo animation clips. (Link again http://halo.wikia.com/wiki/Halo_Legends )
However it could be that these clips where so popular that they might have decided that they'll make the movie like that.
But i think that wont happen since most people still prefer a live action movie

Oke, well i hope that clarified things up a bit You know Halo Wikia really is a great site with a whole lot of information, i recommend reading it whenever your bored or just feel like it. Thats what i did and now i know quite a bit about Halo.

I see what you mean, and sorry for the bad waves.
But I'm fairly confident these animations rumours might be something to get worried about. I found them on the actual halo movie site (which, now I come to think of it, might be a fake). I have visited Halo wikia on occasion, but I've never really given it any in-depth attention apart from the story canon. It's where I got the Mendicant Bias avatar, if you're interested.

Well i really hope it wont be an animation. I do like them but it would mess up Halo in my opinion. Not that Halo Legends wasnt nice but i'd take live action halo over animation any day.

Yea lets hope so But people have said before "When halo 3 comes out perhaps it will such a great succes that they great the movie right away" or something like that. Thats what i heard a lot right before halo 3. And now the same thing for Halo Reach, but lets hope its true this time ^^
